Water Logs Newsletter

Water Logs was inspired by Hannah June Althea and Lindsay Costello’s shared passion for wetland ecology, ethnobotany, the written word, and print media.

Expect notes on salmon species in Portland, status updates on the renovated Errol Heights wetlands, field reports, wetland poetry and art, ritual practices around water, an “advice from water” column, and urban and rural realities. All profits are donated to relief efforts on the ground in Gaza.

New legislation on the federal and local level gives way to expansive development on wetlands, consequently threatening their biodiversity, carbon sequestration, cooling vegetation, and barriers against flooding. We seek to advocate on behalf of wetlands and their inhabitants through this project.
